Psyopus - Odd Senses (2009)

Fans of dudes who deftly manipulate their guitars to make decidedly un-guitar-like sounds will dig this. Yes, Chris Arp shreds, albeit unconventionally. Also, fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Behold... The Arctopus will dig this. I probably didn't need to tell you that. This album is their first with a new vocalist, whose style really reminds me of Dimitri Minakakis, dude who vocalized for TDEP's Calculating Infinity. The record closes with a 9-minute classical composition. No joke.

Awesome. Thanks man. I hope you're right about the vocalist the vocals on Calculating Infinity were great.

Psyopus always had that tendency to utilize classical passages. That makes Chris' playing even more impressive.
