Window View

I couldn't have dreamed a more appropriate companion for the best song on Beach Fossil's forthcoming full-length than this vintage home video footage. It's got a late 70's Woody Allen-style romantic melancholy quality that makes your stomach and your heart seem a little further away from one another. Get the LP from Captured Tracks on May 25.

The Seven Fields of Aphelion

The Seven Fields of Aphelion - Periphery (2010)

This album is awesome and maybe not as well known as other BMSR side projects so I figured I'd post this to kind of make up for the last post I made that got taken down :'( Sorry about that everyone. This is more mellow and ambient/experimental than the stuff done by BMSR and Tobacco, in fact it hardly even sounds like anything by them at all but I think thats pretty cool. As far as I know this is her first solo release, hope to see more from her in the future.

Loscil

Loscil - Endless Falls (2010)

new Loscil yooooooooo. I don't know how opinionated some of you folks out there are but I think I can say that this is probably some of his best stuff. This guy doesn't really seem to have any bad albums or anything but this new stuff really seems to kick it so you should definitely check it out. This ones got all sorts of instrumentation and sounds along with synthesizer drones and echoey minimal beats to chill out to. And don't be afraid to turn up the bass a little if you got a nice pair of headphones or some good speakers ;)
