Onset of Putrefaction (1999)

Epitaph (2004)

These guys are from Germany and they are easily one of my favorite death metal bands ever. They are known for their brutal, yet technical and classical-music inspired compositions. While Onset is real good, I consider Epitaph to be their best effort. They have a new album coming out sometime this year, I can't wait.

I've been receiving Emails from some really great musicians offering me their music in return for sharing it with you guys. I wouldn't think twice about sharing! Enjoy!

Brother Sister Records
I LOVE this artist. He's like Japanese folk street music. Just check it out.

Veracruz - S/T
Real interesting folk from Spain. It's pretty intense.

M. Pyres - Consider Me, Ghost
Nice album, it's noisy/folky/goody. You can find everything on FTU on the DWNLDS section on their website.

Mimas - Cats On Fire .mp3
Video for Cats On Fire
They just released an album in the UK, and it has received some positive attention. This song is real tight, and the video is even better.

Smallfish Records
Sample Songs

Ambient acoustic music. Pretty good stuff. The samples from the Smallfish website are in the mediafire link.

Hermit Thrushes - Benaki (2008)

As promised. This band really knows how to treat its fans; not only did I get this full-length and their 7" split with Br'er (totally recommended, by the way) for only ten bucks, but they threw in a solo disc recorded by Andrew Keller, singer/guitarist, as well. Not to mention a hand-written note, letting me know about their next full-length (to be released before summer!), and a nice little sticker with their logo on it. Oh, also, did I mention how fucking neat this album is? Yeah. It's pretty neat. Trust me.

Psyopus - Odd Senses (2009)

Fans of dudes who deftly manipulate their guitars to make decidedly un-guitar-like sounds will dig this. Yes, Chris Arp shreds, albeit unconventionally. Also, fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Behold... The Arctopus will dig this. I probably didn't need to tell you that. This album is their first with a new vocalist, whose style really reminds me of Dimitri Minakakis, dude who vocalized for TDEP's Calculating Infinity. The record closes with a 9-minute classical composition. No joke.

Wrugs - Braided Gas EP (2009)

This is a nice little EP I got sent to me by one of the band members. It shows a lot of promise and I can't wait for future work from them.

Hush Arbors - Hush Arbors (2008)

I always name my .zip files with the first letters of the name of the band and then the album, so when I renamed this one it turned out to be HA-HA. I thought that was nice.
