This is an EP released on a tour The Mountain Goats and John Vanderslice recently completed together. Vanderslice is a pretty boring, if not really awful artist, but I was impressed with these songs when I saw them live and excited to see them finally find their way to the internet.

i totally disagree about vanderslice... white dove? they won't let you run? awesome songs. plus, he's a really nice guy.
I'm not too fond of John Vanderslice myself, but he's done great work with John Darnielle. I was surprised to find out that my favorite Vanderslice song was actually written by Darnielle (okay, not surprised, since i"m a huge Mt. Goats fan), and Vanderslice has done good work behind the scenes with the Mountain Goats.
I saw some of the stuff live in NYC when they came by, and I'm excited this album is out now. I wish they'd managed to get it out by the time the tour came around.
Ouch. Love John Vanderslice but realize he isn't everyone's cup of tea. Can't wait to hear the EP.
Makes me really sad to hear you think Vanderslice is an awful artist... The guy has a beautiful voice and writes songs full of meaning and they are so well-crafted. Oh well.
